Created in the Image of God (Comparing Humans & Animals)
Two animals, an earthworm and a rabbit, but what’s the difference? Between a rabbit and an elephant? What difference of essence or type does intelligence make?
Now what does this mean that the donkey could speak? I'm not talking about its new physical capability of speaking -- I mean, can a donkey really think like that? And if it can, why is it not considered to also be made in the image of God? Just because it can't physically produce the sounds of language doesn't mean it doesn't mentally have this capability. But then, even monkeys and apes have no syntax. So then what's the difference between humans and the animals?
