Sin & Salvation
Verse Observations:
*the nature of grace - Lam 9:1, 11, 20
Why would Jesus ask his Father to forgive those who were crucifying him? (Lk 23:34)
How can Jesus be our substitute, that is, how can our sins be imputed to him and his righteousness to us?
How can a sacrifice of flesh give life to the spirit?
The physical and spiritual when it comes to determining who’s saved. (theological belief = physical, love = spiritual) (Lk 10:25-37 [the Good Samaritan]) BUT cf the Rich Young Ruler (Lk 18:18-23). It’s possible to have theological belief but not love, so why not the other way around?
Why will there still be offerings, especially sin and guilt offerings in the future in Ezekiel’s temple? This is heresy. (Heb 10:14,18, Gal 5:2-4, Ezk 40:39, 42:13, 43:19-22, 25, 44:27, 29, 45:17, 19-20, 22-25, 46:20) But how could Paul say this, since he himself had circumcised Timothy? (Acts 16:3) But then he contradicts himself yet again when he says, “we did not yield in submission even for a moment” (to circumcision). (Gal 2:3-5) Why did Paul continue to follow the Law of Moses? (Acts 21:24-25, Acts 15:23-24, 28-31)
What's the difference between being justified by faith and justified through faith? (Rom 3:30)
God using the wicked to ransom some of the righteous -- Prv 21:18
