Heaven/the New Creation
Do those who go to heaven have a gender? (Mt 22:30)
How can heaven truly be heaven if someone we love so much isn’t there? But then, I suppose God also has this problem, since he loves everyone but most will not spend eternity with him. (Mt 7:13)
If there can be no such thing as perfection in this fallen world because of the duality, how can there be perfection in the new creation?
Jack and Rose (yes, from The Titanic) both die, and they both go to Hell. Then what was the use of Jack ever sacrificing himself for Rose, or that they ever loved each other? What use is it that they continue to love each other in Hell? How does this make sense that the most beautiful of all things can be utterly ruined by Hell? And then Jack would have wasted his life on Rose. Even if Rose went to heaven, and his life hadn’t been wasted on her, what’s the use to him, since he loves her and is in Hell? Is love really as strong as death? (Sg 8:6)
Here’s an interesting question, but of utmost importance. Heaven must be perfect, yes?, or it’s not heaven. Now people in the kingdom of heaven will have more or less rewards than others who are also in the kingdom. If a person looks at another who has more, though he will not feel jealousy or covetousness (which are sins and sins are nonexistent in heaven), won’t he still feel that he’s missing out on some goodness? So then, isn’t this an imperfection? But there cannot be any imperfections. But the bible says there will be rewards of various degrees (I Cor 3:11-15) and what’s more, that there will be those who will be great in the kingdom of heaven, and others who will be the least. (Mt 5:19) (see also Purgatory)
What are these heavenly families? (Eph 3:15)
