The Law of God Flawed
Verse Observations:
Ezk 20:25-6
Why did Jesus say that God allowed some things in the Law because people’s hearts were hardened? A lot of the laws were really unfair. How can God be unfair just because some people had hard hearts? Why did God care more for the opinion of those with hard hearts than for those who would be the victims of the hard-hearted people? (Mt 19:8)
How did people possibly have time to do all that washing if they were defiled? How could they avoid defiling everything else and others? And then those people would have to keep track of what they had defiled and whom. Why did God make everything so difficult? For example, a married man would automatically be unclean along with his wife whenever she had her period unless one of them slept somewhere else. (Lv 15:20) I don't see how any of this is practicable. There's going to be tons of women who need to sacrifice for their periods and only one altar. (Lv 15:29) And why should killing animals be artificially made murder? That's not the true offense; rather, it's to prohibit idol-worship. (Lv 17:4-5) But I don't see how this is practicable either, since the Israelites, once in the Promised Land, would be spread out all over the country and going to the altar would have taken way too long, just so that you could eat meat.
I don't agree with this law; so many people with the authority to judge are incompetent, and everyone is liable to make errors in judgment. (Dt 17:9, 11-12)
Why couldn’t there be any mixing of materials, animals or plants? This sounds really arbitrary and stupid. (Dt 22:9-11) So does Lv 19:23-24.
Why was it wrong to have the wrong haircut or style of beard? What’s wrong with tattoos? (Lv 19:27-28)
Why did God command levirate marriage? Why did God kill Onan just because he did didn’t want to give his brother children? I see nothing wrong with it at all. (Dt 25:5-6, Gn 38:8-10)
How is it fair for God to not allow anyone conceived in a forbidden union to enter the assembly of the Lord? It wasn’t their fault. (Dt 23:21)
